For better or for worse, we’ve removed the credit card requirement to qualify for the free 30 day trial.  I think it’s a good thing as I really want the little guy, the property owner with just 1 or 2 properties, to try the software to see what a huge difference it can make in terms of increasing bookings and productivity.

After giving it some long and hard thought, I’ve decided to remove the credit card requirement from the 30 day free trial.

1. I am seeing roughly 50% of the users who sign up for the free trial, never actually start the trial because of the requirement to enter their credit card information.  Even though the card is not charged, and the user can cancel at anytime from within their account,  many sign-ups simply won’t proceed with the trial when required to enter billing information.

I am not sure if this will cause any increase in paying new customers, but I don’t see any downside.  So I’m willing to give it a shot.
